Randy Chitto's clay sculptures exude joy. Each piece, he says, tells a unique story and personifies a distinct character that resonates with the beholder. “In this journey, the essence of fun and creativity remains paramount,” he says. You see it in the smiles on his creations, which are often turtles and bears--with personality.
Randy is a graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts. Numerous museum collections include his art, including the Heard Museum, the Denver Art Museum, and the National Museum of the American Indian. He is a regular exhibitor at SWAIA’s Indian Market in Santa Fe, as well as at the Heard Museum Guild Show in Phoenix.
He has served on the boards of various nonprofits and, with his wife, Jackie, founded the Santa Fe Indian Center, now the Santa Fe Indigenous Center.
