In January we will meet on Tuesday the 6th, rather than our usual Wednesday. The Writing Group is a gathering of people who write poetry, memoir, fiction and non-fiction. On the first Wednesday of each month members are invited to read 5 to 15 minutes of something they wrote. Everyone does not have to read every month; we need listeners too. We discuss the readings so that we can help and encourage each other. It is always fun and lively. Come join us! If you would like to receive email reminders about the group, click Interest Groups on the Menu Bar and scroll down to select the Writing Group. Then click the "Sign me up" button

The New Mexico History Museum is located, in part, in the historic Palace of the Governors, which was built in 1610 by Spanish colonists to house their administration. It is the oldest public building in continuous use in the US. The museum’s mission is to provide an understanding of the diverse experiences of the people of New Mexico and the dynamics that have shaped our state. The tour will be led by the Museum’s Executive Director, Billy Garrett, and will focus on his area of expertise, the Palace of the Governors.
